“But Dad…” I complained to Dad as I stand up from sofa and was about to climb upstairs but he spoke.
“No more complain‚ Stephanie! Whether you like it or not‚ you’re going to marry him! Look, honey I’m just doing this for your own sake!” his explanation but I just rolled my eyes as my response. Actually‚ I’m not really a cruel daughter. I just don’t like it when they force me to do such things that I don’t even want‚ it’s so disgusting!
By the way‚ the argument lately was all about the arrange marriage with a stranger. Yes‚ a stranger. I don’t know or even see my fiance. But one thing I know is anak s’ya ng Mafia Boss‚ kidding. He’s a son of my Dad’s business partner. One of the most richest businessman from United States to Philippines. Lumipat sila ng bahay dito sa Pilipinas nitong last week lang‚ according to Dad. His son sounds adorable right? Pero hindi ko magawang magkagusto dun because I’m in a private relationship for almost four months. My boyfriend is Gavin. He’s my classmate since highschool. Hindi ko pa nabanggit sa kanya na inarrange marriage na ako ni Dad sa iba. And I’m scared of what will be his reaction. But this time‚ lalakasan ko na ang loob ko.
I decided to visit him on his house. Yes‚ legal ako sa family n’ya pero wala pa akong lakas na loob na ilegal s’ya sa family ko‚ lalo na ngayon na ipapakasal na ako ni Dad sa iba. But before ako pupunta sa bahay nila‚ dadaan muna ako sa milktea shop because i’m craving for something to sip.
So I got off my car and take off my glass. Crowded huh? What’s up for today? I opened the door of the shop and entered. Nagsiksikan ang mga tao‚ gosh. Ang fresh ko pa naman today pero ewan‚ naghahalo ang amoy ng mga tao. May mabango‚ meron ding maasim. Naliligo kaya ‘tong mga ‘to?
“Uhm, excuse me…” I said at tumabi naman din kaagad ang mga taong nagsiksikan sa harapan ko. Juice colored‚ ang sikip. Is there a funfair? May sabong? May kainan? This is a milktea shop pero ginawa nilang Public Market.
“Uhm‚ excuse me po‚ what’s up with this shop?” tanong ko sa di ko kakilalang babae.
“Good morning Ms. Lavigne‚ ganda n’yo po. Pwede pa picture?” her respond which made my eyebrows rose.
“H—huh? S—sure‚ ” I sputtered and we took a photo then. Walang konek yung sagot n’ya sa tanong ko‚ promise.
“Hi‚ ano pong meron dito?” tanong ko sa isa pang babae.
“Milktea po,” magalang na sagot n’ya pero sarcastic girl. Alam ko kasing milktea shop ‘to pero...

“Morning‚ ba’t nagkagu—ohh wohh!” Nabangga ako ng isang lalaki pero buti nalang may sumalo sa’kin. Hindi naman sa pagyayabang pero omg‚ super igop.
“Are you alright?” he asked me and we both regulate our posture.
“I—i’m fine‚ thanks for saving me hahaha muntik na’ko dun ah!” kabadong sagot ko at inayos ayos ang damit ko pero s’yimpre with matching flip sa mahabang hair natin‚ hekhek.
“Oo nga muntik na mapahiya ang ganda mo.” He then chuckled. Oh my gulay‚ his dimple together with his deep voice was so heart melting like gosh‚ I felt stomach on my butterfly. But after he said those words‚ he suddenly disappeared like wtf? Ano iyon‚ lason lang? Trial card? Okay‚ don’t be flirty Stephanie‚ you already had a boyfriend.
Narinig ko nalang na nagsigawan ang mga tao sa loob. “Yes!” Huh? Anong yes? A little silence filled the shop but someone ruined it.
“Raine‚ can you be my girlfriend once again?” the boy uses microphone kaya malakas. His voice sounds familiar‚ very familiar. Probably because that was Gavin. I think that’s Gavin’s voice. Nataranta na ako at sumingit sa mga tao hanggang sa makarating ako sa gitna kung saan nandun si Gavin. G—gavin?with his ex? What the hèll is going on? He’s courting Raine in front of crowd?
“Gavin!” sigaw ko kaya nabaling ang atensyon ng mga tao sa akin. Napalingon rin si Gavin sa akin.
“S—steph?” utal na saad n’ya at tumayo.
My tears immediately fell down to my blushed cheeks. I’m so speechless right now. I can’t believe this miserable incident. Umiyak lang ako habang tiningnan silang dalawa. Lumapit s’ya sa’kin pero agad akong tumalikod at umalis. He chased me.
“Steph, wait!” he screamed.
“Gavin!” sigaw naman ni Raine and he followed Gavin.
Lumabas na ako sa shop at bubuksan na sana ang pinto ng sasakyan ko nang hablutin n’ya ang kamay ko.
“Steph‚ let me explain!” he exclaimed.
I rise up my eyebrows, “Explain? I saw it clearly‚ Gavin! My eyes aren’t matte! Now tell me‚ what else should you expound?” malakas na sigaw ko at lumabas ang mga tao sa loob ng shop at pinapaligiran na naman kami.
“Love triangle yarn..”
“Ano ba kasi nangyari dyan?”
“Cute ni ma’am Steph umiyak‚ ”
“Hoy! Mga Marites kayo! Magsialisan nga kayo!” sigaw ni Raine pero hindi nakinig ang mga tao sa kanya.
“And you Raine‚ alam mong may girlfriend na si Gavin at matagal nang walang kayo tapos ngayon balak mo pa s’yang sagutin‚ malandi ka!” I shouted in front of her pitiable face and she was about to slap me but someone restrain her hand.
“Don’t you dare to slap my fiance!” the unknown man uttered.
Sino nga ba yung lalaking iyon?
