My boyfriend told me to abort our baby.
His reason was we’re too blinded of young love. I am only 14 while he’s 15.
Masyado kaming marupok at parehong nagpadala sa tukso. We didn’t think of the consequences of the action we made.
Even if the situation is too wrong for us, I still love my baby. I told him that we can still make things right. We can study hard and prove everyone that we can give our child a better life.
“Hindi ko ‘yan kayang tanggapin, Mel. Ipalaglag mo na yung bata. ” walang kaemo emosyon nyang sabi.
I begged and kneeled infront of him. He told me that it’s too impossible for me to be sucessful. He told me that he don’t want to be a disappointment in their family.
When I told him that the baby in my tummy was already gone, I never saw him again. I was so damn broken when he left.
After so many years, I saw my ex again....

Tears started to escape from my eyes when I saw him kneeling infront of a woman wearing white. While my hands are shaking, I went to see the both of them.
It was not yet late because I was able to hear what my ex says.
“Dr. Chavez, I’m begging you. Please save our child. Please do everything to save my angel.”
This scenario is very familiar. I remember myself begging many years ago telling him to not abort our baby. Destiny was too playful for making this thing to happen.
My ex was too shocked when he saw me.
I look at him before saying, “Don’t worry, your daughter will do everything to save your baby.”
He can’t believe because of what I’ve said. Yes, I lied to him. Instead of aborting the baby, I face the judgements and criticisms I heard and raise her on my own. I will never regret my decision because now, my daughter is a very successful doctor.
