“I promise you, Len na mananatili ako sa’yong tabi kahit na ano mang mangyare, pupuntahan kita kahit ga’no kaman ka layo” Nakangiting saad ni Taylor.
Napangiti naman ako sa pangako n’ya sa’kin, kahit papa’no ay may isang tao pa ding nanjan para sa’kin.
“Promise?” Paninigurado ko habang nakangiti.
“Pangako…” Taylor sabay gulo ng buhok ko.
Pero na sa’n na pangko mong binitawan? Akala ko ba’y nanjan ka para sa’kin? Bakit hindi ko ramdam? Bakit bigla kang umiiwas na parang may sakit akong nakakahawa?
Ilang taong nag kalayo, masaya naman tayong nag uusap kahit sa telepono man lang… pero bakit pagkakaibigan natin unti-unti ng nasisira?
Pinagsamahan mula pagkabata ay unti-unti ng nawawala… mga panahong kaylangan kita bakit wala?

I ignore him and walk out on my Mom and Dad’s funeral. Where is he when I need him?! Where was he when that time My Mom and Dad’s accident?! I thought he’ll be on my side when I need him? even though he’s too far from me ay pupuntahan n’ya ako...

but he didn’t come. I waited for him but he did not come…
I even dialed his number and texted him but I got no response…
I walk fast as I can as I felt him following me.
“Yuna! wait!” Taylor shouted while following my fast steps.
I ignore him and went inside the house and immediately close the door but suddenly he stops the door from closing.
“Yuna… let me explain,” Taylor’s face and eyes are red, and was about to cry.
“No need to explain why, Taylor. I now know that I’m not your responsibility, you had your girlfriend that you took care of the most, I’m just your friend so I understand” Malamig na saad ko sakan’ya
Napayuko ito ng kanyang ulo sa sinabi ko…
“But where is your promise when I needed you the most?” Pigil iyak ang pagtanong ko.
He looks at me with teary eyes…
“I-I’m…, sorry” Taylor apologized in his low voice.
Tapatango ako sabay iwas ng tingin.
“Well, that’s life though. By the way, thank you for your broken promise”
I closed the door and turn my back and silently cried while walking towards my room.
“Mom, Dad? Why is this happening? No one’s on my side to comfort me like what you two always did…, Taylor broke his promise too, what should I do now?” Naiiyak na tanong ko habang naka pikit.
I cried out a lot until I fall asleep…
