At The Wrong Place

Once upon a time, I extended multiple opportunities to a man in my life. You ask, “Why?” Because I love him! No! I loved him. He would disappear for a while and return to my life and disappear again and the cycle continued for more than a year. Each time he returned with renewed promises, I extended another chance to him with open arms. Meanwhile, I earnestly begged God for a change of heart in him. And I hoped for love in return from him.
Looking back, I realize how desperate I was, looking for love at the wrong place, asking for love from the wrong person. As soon as I came to my senses, I bent my knees in prayer. Tears fell but not a single word was uttered. Moments turned to minutes, in a silent embrace from God, and finally, He wiped my tears and soothed my spirit. He heard my silent petitions. He understood my unspoken...

pain. He reached down from Heaven and embraced me, His royal daughter.
Oh, how sweet is the love in that Man who hung on the Calvary’s Cross! How warm is the embrace of the arms that stretched on a wooden tree! How tender are the hands that were nailed to that tree! How deep the longing in those eyes that were covered with the crown of thorns! How melodious is the voice that said, “Father, Forgive Them!” And once more, He touched me! Oh, He touched me! And Oh, the joy that floods my soul! Something happened, and now I know, He touched me! And made me whole!
Build a relationship with Him. Fall in love with Christ before you fall in love with a man. He will lead you to the man of your prayers. Claim the promise in Psalm 37:4 ” Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
