Hi! I’m Carolina Sanchez and I have a story for all of you and this is based on my true story. When I was 3 years old I lived in Batangas and I have a boy bestfriend named Amaris Perez. Since we were kids we are so close to each other we have had a lot of bondings, and beautiful memories. One day my mom said that we need to move to the United States of America on May 31 and when I looked at the calendar it is May 17 yet I have 2 weeks left to hang out with Amaris. I was overthinking that night because maybe I can’t see him anymore or I can’t hang with him like a lot of things came into my mind, But my mom came in and said “Honey, it’s ok mhmm. You guys can still meet and hang out together when we are done with all the tasks that we need to have done in the USA ok? What if Amaris will sleep over in our house for 2 weeks and have a party?” I agreed with mom, my dad call the father of Amaris and asked him if would they agree if Amaris will sleep over in our house for 2 weeks, and Amaris parents agreed, dad also invite them in our party on May 29 because on May 31 we need to move on USA and still they accept the invitation. 2:14 pm Amaris arrived at our house. We were happy to see each other again. We had a lot of conversations, questions and some funny jokes. Though Amaris is like my brother already....

May 29 3:12 pm we prepared for the party, 6:25 the big party started and a lot of visitors came. I was so happy that day. I enjoy it a lot, but something just came into my mind like anxiety is attacking me, and Amaris notices me and he goes near me and asks “Hey! Are you okay?” My tears just flow and drop like rain droplets. I answered him “yes” but I couldn’t hold my tears and just started crying, he said it’s ok because we will still meet. On May 30 we are preparing our things, clothes and some other stuff. We sleep early because 8:35 a.m is our flight. May 31 the day that we will move on USA we woke up 5:55 a.m I take a bath, wear a clothes, and all getting ready also checking the stuff if it’s all pack. 6:18 a.m our driver drove us to the airport with Amaris and Amaris parents. 8:17 we arrived at the airport, Amaris, and Amaris parents started saying goodbye and take care while me and Amaris hug tight each other and make a promises that we will not forget each other, Amaris gives me his necklace as a remembrance, while I give him my bracelet as his remembrance. We arrived at MDW Airport, and our relatives welcomed us at the airport. Uncle Elias drove us to their house and celebrated. They invite their friends and kids, while I can’t make friends with them, because all I think is Amaris.
